When using these genealogical maps it is important to remember the limitations of the data on which they are based. The accuracy of the IGI based maps depends on the coverage of parish registers at the date the data was published, the accuracy with which original documents were entered into the IGI database and of course, the accuracy and completeness of the original sources e.g. parish registers. In the case of the IGI based maps of Badnall, etc, baptisms, these currently include some (though not many) marriages. The maps will be replotted when time permits to correct this and update the IGI data.

The maps based on the transcription of the 1881 Census of England and Wales are also subject to similar data errors. Some Bednall names were transcribed as Bedhall and others (as yet undetected) may have been mistranscribed in other ways.
